8 Things To Do This Weekend in Lanzarote + Halloween

Are you ready for the weekend? You don't know where to go? Oh well, as everyweek here in HolaLanzarote.com we tell you about the best Things To Do this Weekend in Lanzarote. And this time there's a lot to do for everyone.

This saturday is Halloween, as you may know, so if you want to enjoy this hunted night you have a lot of spooky options on the island. We tell you all about it in "Halloween in Lanzarote 2015". There's scary parties and also children's activities for the little monsters. Boo!

And for the rest of us "mortals" that don't like to know anything about the living dead, ghosts and witches, there are a few things you can go to, as concerts, festivities, theater, and art exhibitions.

 

1. Solidarity Concert "Parranda Raíces"

Presented today at the Atlantis Multiplex Theatre, at 9:00 pm, the Solidarity Concert "Parranda Raices", soloists of our island. Starring Rebeca Alvarez, Sara Bermudez, Alexis Hernandez, Moneiba Díaz, Arima Saavedra, Alexia Caraballo, Maria Isabel Oroña, Yanira Umpiérrez. The ticket is 5 euros.   Concierto Solidario Raices

2. 2nd Anniversary Doblón Lanzarote

Two years! This Friday join Doblón Lanzarote to celebrate its second anniversary. From 24:00 hours with Dj Falo Martin, there will be performances, surprises and shows. You don't want to miss the party in this club in Arrecife.   Doblón segundo aniversario

3. Festivities

This is the last weekend for the festivities in El Golfo and Teseguite.

Fiestas de El Rosario – Teseguite 2015

The festivities of Teseguite 2015 end this  Saturday at 21:00 pm with the second Altaja Festival, with performances by: A.C. Folklórica ANDANCA from Tenerife, A.C. Folklórica ALTAJA from Lanzarote, in collaboration with the Parranda "El Lagar" of Teseguite. Cartel-Festival-Altaja-2015

Fiestas de La Pardela El Golfo 2015

  In the last weekend of the Festival of "La Pardela" in the Gulf, this Friday there's a Great Gymkhana at 5:00p, Children (recommended to wear old clothes), at 9:00 pm will be the Play Back to over Yaiza “Hay que decir Sí al amor” (We must say 'yes' to love), followed by the VIII" Chinchorro Festival and Salitre "starring Parranda El Geito and Los Gurfines son los del Puerto at 10:30pm. On Saturday, mid-morning, the coastal town is hosting an exhibition of vintage cars on the island, and already in the afternoon, the traditional crab race and dessert contest "The Rosconazo". Cartel  Fiestas de El Golfo La noche de burla está reservada para la actuación del grupo de teatro “Entre Amigos de Yaiza” y “Los Misses 2015”. Luego de la Gala Pardela, la verbena a cargo de DÚOSDM. Para concluir las fiestas, el domingo a partir de las 11:30 horas, se hacen el recorrido de  “La Chalenería” animada por batucada y cabezudos, master class de zumba, fiesta del agua y asadero popular. The last night is reserved for the performance of the theater group “Entre Amigos de Yaiza” (Between Friends of Yaiza) and "Los Misses 2015". After the Gala Pardela, is the verbena with DÚOSDM. To conclude the festivities, on Sunday from 11:30 hours, there's the tour of "Ka Chalenería" animated by batucada and cabezudos, Zumba master class, and popular water festival and of course the "Asadero" (BBQ).

4. MASDANZA LANZAROTE 2015

MasDanza is in Lanzarote for the fourth consecutive year. It brings an appealing, innovative and risky proposition for fans of dance and culture, to enjoy this beautiful art. The show will be on Friday 30 October at 9:00pm in Teatro Insular de Lanzarote. The ticket price is 10 euros. Masdanza Lanzarote

 

5. Somos Ángeles y Demonios

Which side are you on?? The play "We are Angels and Demons" shows the duality that is before us all the time in our existence. This show of the Company Somos, is presented on Saturday October 31 at the Theatre of San Bartolomé at 9:00 pm. And it has a second function in  Teguise, on Sunday 1 November at the Spinola Teguise Theatre at 9:00pm. 6. XVII Prueba de Motocross Ciudad de Arrecife

7. IV Muestra Medioambiental “Marina de Arrecife un Mar de Oportunidades”

This friday the "IV Muestra Medioambiental "Marina de Arrecife un Mar de Oportunidades” continues. This environmental activity has a lot of activities planned, as it involves the students of Arrecife in: Environmental Film Festival, a Route to watch birds, sports activities on Arrecife port (snorkeling, canoeing, diving and gym display BOX).   IV Muestra Medioambiental  

8. Exhibitions

For art lovers, this week continue to show many exhibitions of various artists. Until today the Civic Center Costa Teguise hosts the exhibition of paintings  Canarias Siglo XXI, this exhibition of contemporary art includes the participation of artists living in the Canary Islands. Expocanarias Subconscious Whispers by Cindy Batsleer exhibition by Cindy Batsleer is presented at "El Grifo". In Puerto Calero, at Minato Sushi Bar is the “A flor de piel” paint exhibition by Virginie Jourdant. In the Exhibition Hall of the T2 terminal at Lanzarote Airport is presented the Exhibition "From Waste to Resource" “DE RESIDUO A RECURSO” . The environmental education activity aims to bring in a didactic way the different angles of the waste management in Lanzarote.   Exposición Residuo Recurso The Exhibition Hall "El Quirófano" has the “Flying geometry” exhibition. Ione Quesada's work consists of a series of drawings in which the artist mixes with unique personality, realism, geometry and color spots. Lone Quesada Flying geometry “Paraíso Alternativo” will be in the Exhibition Hall of the Art Center Convent of Santo Domingo until November 21. The Exhibition of Paintings "La fiesta es para todos" (The party is for all) by Moneiba Lemes will be in the Charco San Gines room until Monday November 30. Lemes makes use of images of political present and combines them with festive scenes, representing different states of the community, sometimes hectic as an agent of social change, and other times passive or expectant.
