1. To the Theatre!

Family Theatre: “Pulgarcito y sus hermanos” (Tom Thumb and his brothers).


Teatro El Salinero receives this Saturday June 4, at 6:00 pm, the children's play "Tom Thumb and his brothers", in spanish called "Pulgarcito y sus hermanos". 

Tom Thumb is one of the great classics of literature and children's theater. "Ferroviaria" Company presents a new version of the popular children's character, which is not based on the classic story of the Brothers Grimm, but in the book The Secret Diary of Tom Thumb, Philippe Lechermier. The 55-minute show is recommended for children from 6 years of age. Tickets are priced at 8 euros and can be purchased online or at the box office the day of the performance.

 

 

Theatre: "El fontanero es mi mujer" (The plumber is my wife)

The play "The Plumber is my wife" is presented this saturday at the Municipal Theatre of San Bartolome at 9:00 pm. The function is based on Carlos, widowed for the last year and half, who continues its usual pace, trying to rebuild his life without being able to overcome the trauma. A tough period that fell, leaving to chance his recovery. After the period of mourning, he becomes aware of abandonment in which he lived and begins to take control of his life again without suspecting what the fate had prepared for him. He calls a plumber to fix the mess of months and an accident happens. The latter's wife is looking for him to give a good news, but it is somewhat ... "changed".

Tickets can be purchased for 5 euros at Casa Ajei and Municipal Offices of Playa Honda. 

 

2. I "Scooter Feestyle" Youth Championship San Bartolomé 2016

San Bartolome will celebrate the first Youth Championship "Scooter Feestyle" this saturday June 4 at the Center Extreme Sports Center in Playa Honda. The sporting event will start at 12:00 and runs until 6:00 pm, finishing with the awards ceremony. Registrations can be made at the center, it will be free for residents and will cost 3 € for non-residents.

 

 

3. Fiestas de San Antonio

Fiestas de San Antonio (Los Valles) 2016

The Fiestas de San Antonio (Los Valles) 2016 will be from May 28 until June 18. Organized by the City of Teguise.

 

Fiestas de San Antonio de Padua Güime 2016

The Festival of San Antonio de Padua of the town of Güime, will be held from June 4 to June 13.

Program:

Saturday June 4

5:00 pm. Youth Football Tournament 3 on 3 (age 9 to 15 years). 

8:00 pm. Exhibition of paintings, ceramics, etc., maded by young people.

9:30 pm. Adults Playback. Dúo Atlantis Swing.

Sunday June 5

From June 5 to June 9 June there will be the registration for the drawing contest themed "Nature" at the Civic Center.

11:00 am. Parade with "Cabezudos" through the streets of the town, accompanied by the Batucada Guaychara. Ending with the Water Festival.

6:30 pm. Children's special junior competition Superchef, make your "ideal Cupcake". Registration will be half an hour before the start.

There will more activities from Monday 6 until june 13th.

 

4. Open Fotosub Lanzarote Mar de Lava 2016

On Friday June 3th at 8:00 pm,  the photo exhibition Sumarinas "Open Fotosub Lanzarote Lava Sea 2016" will open in the Marina Mall Lanzarote. The exhibition will be open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm from Monday to Sunday.

5. Music and dances

Mix Dance Marina Lanzarote

 

Dance and enjoy at the "Mix Dance" this Saturday June 4 at the Plaza de las Cruces of Marina Lanzarote.

From 6:00pm you can participate in classes with choreography to the rhythm of the latest music hits and enjoy an ice cream later.

In addition, there will be a Family dance contest. Those who wish to participate must prepare a family choreography maximum 1 minute and bring the song with which they have prepared. The grand prix winner will be chosen by popular vote.

XVII Festival de Música Popular Timbayba (Aniversary– 30 years)

 

A.M.C. Timbayba organizes every year a festival of popular music, which in this 18th edition and also coinciding with its 30th Anniversary (1986-2016), will have the performance of the band "Los Gofiones", to be held on Saturday June 4, 2016 in the Social Hall of Tinajo.

 

6. Animals

Open Day at Sara Protectora.

 

Next Saturday 4th of June from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Sara Protectora Animal Shelter will be hosting the Open Day again, a day filled with activities including dog walks, cat playing and workshops for adults and children.
 
There will be also delicious finger food thanks to the fantastic team of volunteers! And a fantastic and complete Market with clothes and many other things!
 

7. Ecology and Environment

Famara Beach Cleaning June

The first Saturday of each month is time for cleaning, that's why the associations Famara Clean and COUP organize this June 4 the Famara Beach cleaning from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

 

Buscando soluciones al medioambiente (Seeking solutions for the environment)

 

This Friday, at 8:00 pm there will be a series of talks seeking solutions for the environment in the Auditorium of Puerto Calero
Talks:
"Microplastic contamination" by Alicia Herrera Microtrofic Project
"Ocean Conservation and Research" by Marjo Boertjen Orion of Aberdeen for Ocean Conservation & Research
"Light Pollution" with Gustavo Muler Astronomia Lanzarote
And then enjoy the unique experience of observing the Moon and Jupiter through telescopes ...

This saturday there's also a Nautical and Environment Day (Jornada de la Náutica y el Medio Ambiente) in Puerto Calero to learn and have fun with the family.

8. Arrecife Stockazo 2016

The fifth sample of opportunities "Stockazo", a commercial day, will be held on June 3 and 4 in downtown area of Arrecife. dining and shopping offers are proposed during this "Stockazo" with more than 200 establishments participating.
