1. Concert: Reciclaje “Antes de que llegue”
Reciclaje is back in Lanzarote, with its tour "Antes de que llegue" (Before i arrived). This canary group presents its first album and they will only give one show in Lanzarote this year. The concert will be this saturday, march 12, at 9:30 pm at Sala Jazz MiMadre in Costa Teguise. Tickets are 5 euros presale or 6 at the door. 
2. I Classics Concert Cycle in Arrecife
The Lanzarote Classical Orchestra offers an incredible musical program for the I Classical Concert Cycke in Arrecife. This is a great event for music lovers. It has included a new form of "Concert Promotion" to get the public closer to classical music. There will be five concerts and the first is this Saturday at 8:30 pm, with the special "Tango para cinco" (Tango for Five) in the Sala José Saramago FCM. The Tango project was created in Tenerife in 2006. The idea is to transmit different styles of tango, from the oldest and classic (Horacio Salgán, Julian Plaza, Scarpino, Carlos Gardel ...) even the most modern, through original and own arrangements,especially represented by Astor Piazzolla. There is also a small concert every date in the Plazuela, at 12:00 hours, as a sample for prime concert. 
3. Concert: Mi Capitán. Sonidos Líquidos 2016 in Bodegas El Grifo
"Mi Capitán" will present in concert this sunday, as part of the program of sonidos Líquidos 2016. If you enjoy good music and the amazing Lanzarote wines, we hope you have your ticket already, because it's sold out. This experience with food, wine and music will be in the Bodegas el Grifo from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Those who will go to this concert "Malvasía Volcanic Experience" will enjoy the live band, tasting of 4 wines from El Grifo and a total of 3 food tasting. 
4. Carnival in Costa Teguise
This friday the Carnival celebration continues in Costa Teguise. With concerts of: Los Magnéticos, Máxima Cobertura, Maldito Duende (Tributo Héroes del SIlencio) and DSM5. The concerts will be from 8:00 pm in the Plaza del Nautical Mall, in the avenida islas Canarias. 
On Saturday the festival continues with the Carnival Coso in Costa Teguise at 5:00 pm. At 8:00 pm you will enjoy the performance of Inerxia Band, Los Salvapantallas and orchestras Rika Banda and Sintonía Show. The place is the Nautical Mall in Pueblo Marinero.
5. II Carrera Solidaria de Mascaritas Tinajo 2016
This saturday the II Solidarity Race Mascaritas Tinajo 2016 is celebrated, a new date after being suspended for weather alerts back in February. The race will be at 11:00 hours in the Plaza de San Roque, certainly is some carnival to keep having fun in Tinajo. 
6. II Carrera Muévete por la igualdad
On the occasion of the commemoration of March 8, International Women's Day, this Sunday, the Rural Women's Association Tiemar and the city of San Bartolomé organize the second edition of the Race "Muévete por la Igualdad" (Move for Equality). It's an initiative that combines sportiness with awareness of the role of women in society. The race, which starts at 11:00 am, is 3 km from the Avenue of Playa Honda, starting and finishing on the Esplanade of Guacimeta. Activities will be musically animated by Dj Aitor and a fun session of Zumba with MT Dance after the race. 
7. Copa MTB: VIII Cronoescalada ‘Al Golpito’
The VIII Cronoescalada "Al Golpito" (eighth time trial "Al Golpito") will be on Sunday March 13 at 10:30 am. The route is from Famara to Las Nieves with a total of 23 kilometers. The races start between 10:30 and 11:00 am. The awards ceremony will be at 2:00 pm on the football field of Teguise. 
8. Xtreme Running Ciudad De Arrecife 2016
The Xtreme Running ciudad de Arrecife is the new sporting event taking place on the island's capital. The obstacle race will be on Saturday. It will feature distances of 4 and 8 kilometers, the Xtreme Running will pass through areas of La Bufona and the beach of El Reducto, among others. There is a race of 500 meters for the children. This very different event will be held on asphalt, dirt and sand, making it a difficult race. 
9. VIII Encuentro Bienal Lanzarote: “Gota a gota” III Festival de arte de performance
Framed in the 8th Biennial Meeting Lanzarote, "Las Conejeras" collective presents "Gota a Gota" (drop by drop) the III Performance Art Festival in Arrecife, around the Maretas and the Socio-Cultural Center in Argana Baja. There will be two different tours and admission is free. The theme focuses on multifaceted aspects related to resources and use of fresh water on the island that will be reflected in works and deferrals contributions. The cultural group "Las Conejeras" gathers canary artists. 
10. Expositiva Musical. I Encuentro Cultural Artístico
The first Cultural Artistic Encounter of Los Campesinos, supported by the city of Arrecife, is a different proposal that will take place between 11 and 31 March at the Sociedad Democrática in Arrecife. “Expositiva Musical” takes the art of photography to the live performance of music workshops and concerts and folk dance. The opening will be on March 11 with timple workshop, given by Benito Cabrera (Free activity prior registration). Cabrera offers the "“Suenan las Islas” concert, an invitation to a sensory journey through the sights and sounds of the Canary Islands. There will also be the exhibition "Desde Lanzarote", a journey of artistic images, that will remain in the halls of the Sociedad Democratica until the closing on March 31. 
11. Somos Reatro presents “Sólo X Amor”
The "Somos Teatro" company presentes on Friday the play “Sólo X Amor” (Only X Love), at 8:30 pm in the Municipal Theatre of Tias. The ticket is 5 € and can be purchased one hour before the show at the box office. 
12. Conmemorative Events of March 8th- International Women's Day. ASC Mararia
Due to International Women's Day, this March 12th at 11:30 am there will be a concentration from the Cuatro esquinas to La Plazuela, with parade, Batucada Chimbay and El Cribo Association. There will be a performance by Gymnastics Club Tenesa -Timanfaya and reading the unions manifesto and distribution of balloons among children. There will also be symbolic acts with sports entities, with the sample of the banner of the Forum against gender violence. 
.13. Free Workshops for children aged 3 to 10. CC El Pueblo
The "El Pueblo" Mall has planned for saturdays with free workshops for children aged 3 to 10 years, at 5:00 pm, in the square of La Fuente Cofee Shop. This saturday corresponds to the third workshop on "Games and Seeds", the workshops are taught by JJessica Streeb and Iria Montoya from the Waldorf School. There will be free snacks for participants. 
14. Cooking Workshop for Children. Deiland
This sunday there will be a Cooking workshop for children in Deiland, at 11:30 am. There are 30 places for children from 5 years. You can book yours sending a message to 629818455. 
15. Exhibitions
Exhibition: Floral Crafts “Paisajes de Lanzarote”, by Elena Apesteguía
The exhibition on Floral Craft called "Paisajes de Lanzarote" (Landscapes of Lanzarote), by Elena Apesteguíam will be presented at Sala El Aljibe in Haria. The exhibition will run from March 12 to April 9, from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The opening is Saturday March 12 at 12:00. 
Exhibition "Iconos Ortodoxos"
The exhibition “Íconos Ortodoxos” (Orthodox Icons) oppened last thursday, in the Art Gallery of Tias, but if you missed it, don't worry, the paintings will be on display until April 3.
