1. Animayo Lanzarote 2016

The International Film Festival of Animation, Visual Effects and Videogames Animayo is in Lanzarote for the fifth consecutive year. Sessions and workshops will be until Saturday February 27. The program takes place in the Teatro Insular de Lanzarote, with concerted activities for primary and secondary schools and at the Civic Center of San Francisco Javier with activities for all ages, students, amateurs and professionals in the audiovisual sector. 2. Carnaval Haría 2016. El bosque encantado

The Enchanted Forest is in Haria this weekend. The Carnival program 2016 includes many activities, closing with Carnival Tapa. 3. Workshop: How to prevent, detect and deal with drug use among young people.

Today, at 7:00 pm there will be an interesting free talk for parents, guardians, teachers and adults in general, on how to prevent, detect and deal with drug use in young people. The talk, organized by the Department of Social and Family of the City of Tías, will be taught by leading scholars. La Graciosa welcomes a mayor sports event with its spectacular setting, nature and beauty. This weekend you have the opportunity to participate in an incredible event: Desafío Octava isla (Challenge Eighth Island). Participants have the chance to compete surrounded by a biological richness in endemic species, dunes and beaches of golden sand, reached the finish line to the souk of the primitive buildings and gravel streets. To be crowned winner of the Challenge Eight Island (d8i) will compete in two sports disciplines (Cross-Triathlon and Trail) where participants will challenge the clock in two days of competition. 9. Chinijo’s Rock: Emisora Clandestina

This weekend begins a program of events designed and adapted to a very special audience: children. The department of Culture of the Cabildo de Lanzarote think of the children aged between 3 and 10 years old, Chinijo's Rock aims to bring popular music to young people. The "Emisora Clandestina" group will be responsible for opening the program with a concert in “La Recova", it will be a party on Saturday February 27 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. 12.Conference: Life on Lava

This saturday, there will the Conference "Life on Lava. Animals and Plands of Lanzarote". It will take place at Conference room Hotel Jameos Playa in Puerto del Carmen, at 7:00 pm. It's a presentation by Prof. Horst Wilkends, from the University of Hamburg. He will introduce his specialised knowledge of flora and fauna, concentrating on the extraordinary nature of Lanzarote. Further to this, the seminar will be illustrated by marvellous photos to show us the diversity of natural life on this islands. It's an english presentation. 13.Andrés Suárez en Concierto

This Saturday, February 27, it will be the concert of the artist Andrés Suárez. The Municipal Theatre of San Bartolome will receive the Galician singer at 9:00 pm. Andrés Suárez has shine this year with its sixth album, “Mi pequeña historia” (my little story).
