1. Theater: ¿Qué sabes tú de mis tristezas? San Bartolomé

Tonight you can enjoy the play “¿Qué sabes tú de mis tristezas?” (What do you know about my sadness?), in San Bartolome’s Theater at 9:00 pm. It’s the story of two sisters: Maria Jose and Ana Belen, they live in a small town call “Las Camachas”, and they shared the same background, the same one that separates them. How to reconnect with those you have loved despite the hate? It the time the cure for the soul? Is it possible to forgive despite de wounds?

 

2. Fiestas de San José Obrero, in La Asomada

Las Fiestas de San Jose Obrero (St. Joseph “the Worker”), in La Asomada, offer a varied program for what will be the last days of the festivities. Here we share it with you:

Thursday 28

5:00 pm. Bouncy castles

8:30 pm. Proclamation of the fiestas by Ms. Teresa Ramos Betancor and then performance of the musical "Timplefonías".

Friday 29

5:00 pm. Archery Workshop, by the club Archery Lanzaflecha.

7:00 pm. Competition and tasting desserts (sweet and savory).

8:30 pm. Theatre by the group "Raices del Pueblo", with the staging of the play: "No hay ladrón que por bien no venga" (No thief has a silver lining).

Saturday 30

1:00 pm. Foam Party in the parking lots.

9:00 pm. X Floklore Meeting " Montaña de Gaida” (Gaida Mountain) with the performance of the Folkloric Group "Rubicon" and the band "Guágaro".

11:00 pm Verbena Popular (popular party) with the Duo "Zafiro Show" and DJ "Angel" in the tent.

Sunday 1

6:30 am. Diana Floreada, organized by the Charanga "Los Gruñones".

12:30 pm. Religious Function and procession in honor of San Jose Obrero, accompanied by the Folk Group "Gaida".

7:00 pm. Playback performance of young people.

8:00 pm. Popular Asadero (in which it will be the award ceremony).

9.30 pm. Performance humorist Kike Pérez.

10.30 pm. Dance with Parrandas "El Golpito" and "Pa'l Porrón".

The festival program officially ends on Monday with Bingo at 5:00 pm.

 

3. Youth House Concerts

This Friday, April 29, it’s the anniversary of the reopening of the Youth House in Arrecife (Casa de la Juventud), so there will be a concert with Tribu, Intima, Enorme and Emisora Clandestina at 9:00 pm.

On Saturday continues the celebration with "Rock in Titerroy" with Atril, Gargantua, Metalmorfosis and Satan el Catoliko in the Youth House (Casa de la Juventud) in Arrecife at 8:00 pm.

4. Theater: "UN LÍO PADRE" Doble M Company

Theatre Victor Fernandez Gopar "The Salinero" receives on Friday April 29 at 9:00 pm the play "Un lío padre" by the Double M Company. This “huge mess” puts us in the waiting room of a maternity hospital in which Carlos and Diego expect to have their offspring. But then comes the surprise of Jaime, the best friend of Carlos, who appears with explosive news: Carlos is not the true father of the child to come. With this premise and you can imagine what follows: a hilarious sitcom with which you won’t stop laughing.

The play directed by Nacho Almenar, has incredible actors as Zebensuí Felipe, Santi López and Adrián Rosales. Tickets are priced at 10 euros and can be purchased Online or at the theater the same day of the performance, if not sold out, from one hour before the start of the show.

5. International Jazz Day. Arrecife.

International Jazz Day is celebrated in Arrecife with a concert in the Plaza de Las Palmas (Church of San Gines) Friday at 9:00 pm. You can enjoy the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote (OCL) with "A Night of Jazz" for all lovers of this musical style, with the lead by Alexis Lemes and his quartet Trajazz.

6. ULTRABIKE Santa Rosa

A spectacular race that passes through every corner of the island of Lanzarote (May 1 and 2) and La Graciosa (April 30). May 1 test is integrated into the circuit of II Copa MTB Isla de Lanzarote 2016.

7. BookMarks Children’s Workshop. Deiland.

The Deiland mall has a special program for Children and they have included activities as the one this Saturday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, with the “Bookmarks workshop”.

8. April's Fair

Feria de Abril. Biosfera Plaza

Dance school “Top Catz Dance” directed by Marlene Pierce, will delight us this Saturday April 30 at 7:00 pm with a performance of 45 minutes of Sevillanas and flamenco dance in the Biosfera Plaza Shopping Center. In addition, attendees will enjoy a flamenco dance lessons.

Feria de Abril. Playa Honda.

This Sunday, in Playa Honda is celebrated the “April’s Fair” with various activities. At 12:00 pm there will be performance of “Coro Rocierto Al-Andalus, entre alisios y levanter”. At 1:00 pm “Aires del Sur”, and at 3:00 pm “Sentimiento con Arte”. There will environmental music, food and drink typical from Andalusia.

 

.9.  Volcano Triathlon. La Santa

This Saturday is the 32th Club La Santa Volcano Triathlon Lanzarote, since 10:00 am and that will reunite more than 450 professionals and amateurs, from 23 countries.

Course: 1,5km Swim Course (Cut off: 1 hr after race start), 40km Bike Course (Cut off: 3hr 30m after race start) and 10km Run Course (Cut off: 4hr 30m after race start).

 

 

.10. Music: SUPREME SAX & BRASS. “Two Years”, by Samuel Aguilar

This Saturday will be the musical "Supreme Sax & Brass: Two Years", by Lanzarote’s composer Samuel Aguilar. The play will be at 9:00 pm in the Convent of Santo Domingo and will feature 15 musicians. The entrance has a price of 10 euros.

 

 

11. Theater: “Sólo x Amor”. San Bartolomé

Somos Theater Company presents this Saturday in the San Bartolome’s Theater “Sólo x amor” (just for love) at 9:00 pm. Tickets are 5 euros. The play shows a world of a women who moves through feelings. This interior world consists of one universe, so similar, despite the differences. Who has not felt the boredom of routine, hope for change, detachment from their children, the joy of giving, learning to let go, heartbreak, the craziness that we only x Love?

12. Mother’s Day

This Sunday is Mother's Day in Spain, so we celebrate the day with women who’ve given us life. A very special day to say: Congratulations, Mom! And it is a perfect opportunity to spoil them and, like every day, show them how much we love them.

In Lanzarote we keep celebrating and in the commercial area of Tias there are special activities for Día de la Madre (Mother’s day) with special prizes and offers.

Also, the Centers for Arts, Culture and Tourism of Lanzarote, have organized a special day for mothers in the Monumento al Campesino with the event “Mother’s Day: You are the Queen”. It is a gastronomic offer focused on local produce and serves, between 12:00 and 4:00 pm, a special menu for mothers. The price to enjoy this day in the CACT is 24 euros per person, and includes glass of wine, beer, soda or water. There will also be discounts of up to 20% on items stores the Casa Amarilla (Yellow House) and the Castle San José.
