1. Fiestas de Los Remedios Yaiza 2017
The town of Yaiza invites you to its celebrations in honor to the Virgin of the Remedies with a varied program of events organized from the 31 of August to the 9 of September. Religious functions, folklore, tradition, music, artistic performances, motor, concerts, festivals and children's days, among other proposals, are part of this social event that the municipality shares with the neighbors of Lanzarote and visitors.

6:00 pm. Los Remedios 2017 Children's Football Tournament.
9:00 pm. "FESTIVAL RUBICÓN 2017". Folkloric Group Rubicon and as a guest the Folklore Group Dunas de Corralejo from Fuerteventura. "Plaza de Los Remedios" square.

4. Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote 2017
The sixth edition of the Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote will take place this Saturday 2 of September. It will start at Lake La Santa at 7:30 am, with more than 400 triathletes from 31 countries registered that will have to cover 1.9 km in the swimming segment, 90 km in the bicycle and 21.1 in Foot race. This distance is exactly half of the main Ironman, that's celebrated in may here in Lanzarote.
The current "Ironman Lanzarote" woman champion, British Lucy Charles, is among the favorites for the Ironman 70.3, qualifying event for the World Cup in South Africa, as well as Belgian Kenneth Vandendriessche, South African James Cunnama and Italian De Gasperi.
There will be road closures for the new bike route.
