1. Fiestas del Carmen en Valterra 2017
Arrecife invites you to enjoy the "Fiestas del Carmen" in Valterra, from this Saturday to July 23th. Here's the program for this weekend:

11:00 am. to 1:00 pm. Exhibition of the Serene Heart School "Ving Tsun Kung Fu Lanzarote".
8:00 pm. Parade of Giants and "Cabezudos" with the "Batucada Woman Batuca", from the Socio-Cultural Center of Valterr.
9:00 pm. Opening speech for the Fiestas de la Virgen del Carmen 2017 by Miguel Cedres and Francisco Cedres, founders of the group "Los Coquillos", at Parque de Valterra.
11:00 pm. "Popular Verbena" enlivened by Lanzarote Swing.

12:00 pm. Solemn religious function and later procession with the venerated image of Our Lady of the Carmen by the main streets of the Historic town of Teguise accompanied by the Municipal Band of Teguise. Toast of honor. Spinola Palace - Timple House-Museum.
8:30 pm. Theater with the play "Una cura de pueblo" in charge of the group Esperanza Spínola. Municipal theater.

12:00 pm. Solemn Religious Function in honor to Our Lady the Virgin of the Carmen, with Non-Perishable Food Offering.
5:00 pm. Mass, followed by Maritime Procession aboard the boat "El Angeles" with the Floral Offering in memory of all those who died at sea, already ashore, Blessing of the image of the Virgin of Carmen, musical offering with the Folklore group "La Gran Aldea", to finish, delivery of the Poetry awards Inocencia Paez and its reading at the doors of the Temple.
Then Verbena with Dj Furre and Naiyimbe at the esplanade of the pier.
