1. Day of the Canary Islands 2017 in Puerto del Carmen
The celebration of the Day of the Canary Islands continues in Puerto del Carmen.
This Thursday, June 1st, at 5:00 pm, there will be workshops of "Lucha Canaria" (wrestling) in Playa Grande. At night, there will be a Canary Film Cycle with: "Manos" at Plaza del Varadero, at 9:00 pm.
Tomorrow, Friday, June 2nd, you will be able to enjoy the "Lucha Canaria" (wrestling), with an exhibition between "Club Union Sur Tías" and "Union Sur Yaiza", at 7:00 pm. Then, at 8:00 pm, there will be "Lucha Canaria" in Playa Grande, Bankia Foundation Cup, "Lucha de Tias Fight Club" against "Union Sur Yaiza".
And on Saturday: "La Noche de Ico".
2. Music: "La Noche de Ico" (The Night of Ico). Tribute to Ico Arrocha
On Saturday, June 3rd, there will be the presentation of "La Noche de Ico", tribute to Ico Arrocha, in the Plaza del Varadero, Tías, at 10:00 pm. Entrance is free.
For his contribution to the preservation of traditional music from Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, and for his rotund voice of tenor of exquisite tuning, the name of Ico Arrocha is already united for ever to the history of the folklore of the Islands.
Under the direction of Manolo González (Mestisay) and the group Guadarfía, to which Ico belonged, the institutions and musicians of the Canary Islands have prepared the well-deserved tribute to the folklorist.
More than 60 musicians will be on the stage of the Varadero Square: Olga Cerpa, Besay Perez, Guadarfia, Antonio Corujo, Luis Morera, Jose Manuel Ramos.
3. Theater: The Good Samaritan. Morfema Teatro
The theater play: "El Buen Samaritano" (The Good Samaritan), by Morfema Teatro, will be presented at El Salinero Theater at 9:00 pm this Thursday.
An acid and raw comedy about two characters on the verge of self-destruction. Religious beliefs and atheistic nihilism, two moral visions that clash in this web of continuous surprises.

4. Astronomy: Observation of Jupiter and the Moon. Spring Constellations.
On Friday, June 2nd, you will be able to enjoy, along with Astronomy Lanzarote, the "Jupiter and the Moon Observations" in the Castillo de San Gabriel, at 9:30 pm. This activity is free.
5. IV Maratón MTB Norte de Lanzarote
he IV MTB Northern Marathon of Lanzarote is part of the MTB Cup and is celebrated next Saturday, June 3rd, at 9:00 am in Haría.
6. Swim crossing El Reducto 2017
UPDATE: The Swim crossing El Reducto 2017 is canceled because of adverse weather conditions, as for this Saturday the expected conditions are of force 5/6 at sea and the safety of the participants is not guaranteed.
The Swim crossing El Reducto 2017 will be this Saturday at El Reducto Beach in Arrecife, ugar este sábado 3 de junio en la Playa del Reducto de Arrecife, as part of the Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup.
7. Hiking by the Lanzarote Wine Landscape: Land of the Volcanoes
Next Sunday, June 4, will take place the hiking route for the wine landscape: "Land of the Volcanoes".
These routes organized by the Lanzarote Wine Regulatory Council, with the collaboration of Senderismo Lanzarote, are priced at € 12.
8. Fiestas de San Antonio de Padua en Güime 2017
The "Fiestas de San Antonio de Padua en Güime" will be celebrated from the June 3 to June 13 with a wide and varied programming:

9. Agricultural and Artisan Market of San Bartolome
On Sunday, from 9:00 am. to 2:00 pm, the market for agricultural products, cheese and handicrafts from San Bartolome will be installed, which will be held every first Sunday of the month, at "Plaza León y Castillo" (Square in front of "El Porvenir" Society).
There will be a program of parallel activities that include children's entertainment, workshops and music.

11:30 am to 12:15 pm: Performance of the Municipal School of Folklore of San Bartolome.

Each Sunday will have a specific theme, in this case is focused on workshops and performances that enhance products such as gofio or traditional music.
10. Workshop "Designer for a Day". Biosfera Plaza
Biosfera Plaza Shopping Center presents the workshop for children: "Designer for a day", which will take place next Saturday, June 3, at 7:30 pm. To celebrate European Geoparks Week, Cabildo of Lanzarote and Geopark Lanzarote and Archipelago Chinijo organize a few activities for this week:
Free course: "Planetary Guide of Lanzarote"
Next Friday, June 2, Geopark Lanzarote presents the free course: "Planetary Guide of Lanzarote", from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, given by the prestigious scientist Dr. Jesus Martínes Frías (IGEO).
The course is totally free and it is destined to guides of the tourist sector.
"Geoparque...ando" Route: From Gaida to Guardilama
