1. Carnival in Costa and Villa de Teguise 2018

Teguise celebrates its carnival in La Villa de Teguise and Costa Teguise this weekend, a week before the Carnival of La Graciosa. Here you can see the full schedule from today:

Thursday, March 1st

6:30 pm. Parade "Ritmo y Armonía" with the performance of the Comparsa los Cumbacheros, Sur Caliente and Los Yaiseros. Departure from Apartamentos Santa Rosa to the C. C. Nautical.

8:30 pm. II Gala Drag with the participation of daring queens.

Friday, March 2nd

8:00 pm. III Edition of the Traditional Carnival with representations of the groups: Diebletes de Teguise, Toros de Tao y Tiagua (Teguise), La Chirimurga del Timple (Gran Canaria), Parranda Marinera los Buches (Arrecife), Los Empolvados (Teguise), Caretos de Ousilhao (Portugal), Antiguo Entierro de La Sardina de Buena Vista del Norte (Tenerife), Los Carneros (Gran Canaria).

Saturday, March 3rd

5:00 pm. Great Parade of the Carnival of Teguise: floats, comparsas, murgas, costumes, masks and a lot more. A whole river of color and joy. At Avenida Islas Canarias in Costa Teguise. Departure from the surroundings of the Sand Beach Hotel and arrival to the Nautical Shopping Center.

From 7:30 pm to 2:30 am. Performance by DJ Ángel Pérez and the Nayimbe Orchestra. Nautical Shopping Center.

Sunday, March 4th

11:00 am. "CANNAVAL" Company Animal Costume Competition. Animal catwalk for adoption. Awards for the best individual and couple costume. Location: Plaza de la mareta in Villa de Teguise.

11:00 am. Performance of the folkloric group Gran Aldea at the Plaza de los Leones in Villa de Teguise.

12:30 pm. Carnival Parade in the Market of the Villa de Teguise, with the participation of the Cumbacheros Comparsa, Batucada Merekumbé and Menuda Caña and the "Chicas Villas", plus the traditional Carnival groups.

2:00 pm. The Carnival of Teguise ends with a concert by the group "Los Bourbon" at the Plaza de los Leones in Villa de Teguise.

2. Carnival Tinajo 2018

The Carnival Festivities will take place this year in Tinajo from this Thursday, March 1st, to next Sunday, March 4th. The traditional acts stand out, among many others that will complete a varied program to enjoy the carnival in the municipality:

Thursday, March 1st: Carnival Hats and Snack Workshop for seniors, Plaza de San Roque, 5:00 pm.

On Friday, March 2nd: the "Sheet Costume Contest" with individual, couple and group prizes.

Saturday March 3: Great Carnival Parade, departing from the church of Los Dolores to the Plaza de San Roque.

On Sunday, March 4: At 10:00 am the IV edición de la Carrera de Mascaritas will take place and from 12:00 noon, the Day Carnival will be held in the Plaza de San Roque.

3. Agricultural and Handicraft Market in San Bartolomé "Mujer Campesina" (Peasant Woman)

San Bartolomé invites this Sunday, March 4th, to the Agricultural and Handicraft Market of San Bartolomé, in Plaza León and Castillo.

This edition is dedicated to the "Peasant Woman".

Activities:

10:00 am. Photographic exhibition homage to the Peasant Woman.

10:00 am. Child Dynamization and Children's Workshop.

12:00 noon. Performance of the Folkloric Association "Los Campesinos".

4. Children's Workshop: "Create your Ecological Garden". Deiland

This Sunday, March 4th , at 11:30 am, in the basement of the Deiland Shopping Centre, both parents and children will be able to become aware of the importance of organic farming for the environment and health.
