We know that the island is on alert for rain, but, as every week, we tell you about the best things that you can do this weekend in Lanzarote, If the rain is kind enough. There’s theater, festivals, concerts and sports, you'll enjoy this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, although we won’t have sun.

1. Theater: “TAMAÑO FAMILIAR” with Llum Barrera

Lanzarote’s director Quino Falero returns to his island to present “Tamaño Familiar” (Family Size). This play is a comedy about the inexhaustible theme of the family and has an exceptional cast to make the audience laugh. Llum Barrera, Alfonso Lara, Camila Viyuela and Pepe Lorente will be on stage of the Lanzarote Insular Theatre at 9:00 pm. Teatro Familiar Llum Barrera  

 2. Theater: “SÓLALA” with Cristina Medina

“Sólala” is mainly about the melodramatic story of a poor mother of quintuplets, whose husband in the war. She has a landlord who harasses to collect rent and a lot of misfortunes. In this particular function there’s even a flamenco act, a shadow theater and magic. Cristina Medina will bring all of this and will make you laugh and forget your worries. 3. Tempo Lanzarote Last Show!

After months of success, Sunday is the last function ofTempo Lanzarote. The visual, musical and scenic spectacle represented in Jameos says goodbye this Sunday at 12:00pm. If you haven’t seen it, you don’t want to miss it, because Tempo Lanzarote offers a journey through time through music and images, so the viewer can learn chapters of the island’s history. 4. Fiestas de San Rafael, Los Molinos de Teguise 2015

The Festival of San Rafael, Los Molinos de Teguise has a full program of activities for this weekend. As always as the rain let it. Today at 7:00 pm will be the Mass in the Chapel of San Rafael. The there will be the Caritas Teguise offerings. Want to contribute? 5. III Festival del Cuento Contado Palabras al Vuelo

The Festival of Lanzarote tale told “Palabras al vuelo” (Words on the fly) will be back in Arrecife. Since yesterday, Thursday 22 to Sunday October 25, streets, theaters and libraries in the city will offer a show of storytelling and illustration. 6. Oktoberfest en Arrecife

After 5 years in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote Oktoberfest, the traditional Bavarian festival arrive at Arrecife for the first time. It is held in the fair venue (Recinto Ferial) with different culinary and musical activities for all ages. Tonight will be the concert of Skatoons and “Emisora Clandestina”. 7. Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon

On Saturday October 24 at 10:00 hours the sixth edition of Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon is held. The competition already has the participation of over 300 athletes. For now it is not suspended, according to the official website of the event, despite the rain alert. The sixth edition has a new mode: "Sprint" with a distance of 750 meters swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run. An ideal distance for those athletes who are getting started in this sport. 8. XV Copa de España Internacional de Karate

This weekend Arrecife receives the XV Cup International Karate Spain. A maximum of four competitors will be representing their federation this Saturday and Sunday, one for each category: over 16 years of age (for the type of kata) and 18 in male and female kumite. The conditions and competition categories are: Men's Individual Kumite (Open); Women's Individual Kumite (Open); Men's Individual Kata; and Women's Individual Kata. SOLALA_210X190px-logos  

9. V Pardelator de El Golfo

The Gulf Pardelator race will take place on Saturday October 24 at 17:30. It has not yet made any statement on suspension or change for the rain alert. We will inform you if this change. This test of 11 kilometers is in its fifth edition. The route starts at the parking esplanade of the “Charco de los Clicos”, then enter the network of tracks in the Natural Park of the Volcanoes and the limits of Timanfaya National Park, returning to the main street of El Golfo, where athletes will find the line finish, by the party venue.
